Vassar Voices Entertains at Reunion
Four members of the original campus cast—Will Gaines ’11, Julia Anrather ’13, Darice Murphy ’11 and Conrad Schott ’11—anchored a performance of Vassar Voices at Reunion. They played to an enthusiastic, standing-room-only crowd of alumnae/i at the Martel Theater in the Vogelstein Center for Drama and Film.
The centerpiece of the College’s traveling Sesquicentennial celebration, Vassar Voices is a staged reading that captures the flavor of the Vassar experience over the past 150 years through the actual words of those who have lived it. The performance proved a fitting highlight of the weekend for many alumnae/i, who themselves had returned to campus to reconnect with old friends and reminisce about their own contributions to Vassar’s history
In the Spring/Summer issue of the Vassar Quarterly—due in your mailbox later this month—you can read President Hill’s account of the Sesquicentennial celebration tour, which will continue this fall with stops in St. Louis, Houston, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Chicago and Cleveland. –Lance Ringel
