Alum‘s “White Flags” Project Salutes International Unity

In late September, Aaron Fein ’93 spent a week in College Center surrounded by student helpers and yard after yard of white cotton duck fabric. Vassar Devils: Tradition Soothe Freshmen Angst

Vassar’s own brand of chocolate delicacy made its scrumptious yearly appearance this fall. The Vassar Devils, a mix of devil’s food cake, fudge, ice cream, and marshmallow sauce, has made transition to life at the college all the more palatable since 1887. The exact origins and recipe of the pseudo-sundaes remain a mystery, but from 1887-2002 incoming Vassar students have enjoyed the tasty treats during their first weeks on campus. Read More …
