Chinese Southern Belle Meatballs

1/2 pound ground beef, turkey, or pork (or mixed)
1/3 cup Vidalia onions, chopped
1/4 cup green onions, chopped
1 tablespoon minced garlic (fresh garlic is best)
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black or white pepper
1 egg
1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Heat vegetable oil in skillet over medium heat. Stir-fry Vidalia onions, green onions, and garlic for one minute. Remove from heat and let cool five minutes. Add to meat mixture, add rest of ingredients, and combine well.

Form small meatballs and bake 15 minutes at 400°F on a cookie sheet or in a skillet on the stove for five to eight minutes until browned and cooked through.

Serve as an appetizer with Keng’s Sweet Hottie Dipping Sauce or favorite barbeque or spaghetti sauce.
