Milbrey (Missie) Rennie Taylor ’68

Milbrey (Missie) Rennie Taylor ’68 previously served as a Vassar trustee from 1989 to 2001 and was reappointed to the Board of Trustees in 2014 as the current president of the Alumnae/i Association of Vassar College (AAVC).

Missie is currently a strategic and media consultant. She spent 30 years in television news, most of them at CBS News as the Executive Producer of CBS News Sunday Morning and CBS Weekend News. She has won 8 Emmys and a George Foster Peabody Award. She also worked for an internet company partly owned by CBS, ThirdAge Media. Missie is a diligent volunteer. She served as Board Chair of Miss Porter’s School, a ten-year term on the Board of The Nightingale-Bamford School, a six-year term on Breakthrough Collaborative, and is trustee Emerita Vice Chair of the Asia Foundation.  She serves on the boards of the USTA Foundation, Teachers College, the Advisory board of the International Rescue Committee, the Selection Committee for Scholars for the Henry Luce Foundation, and The Asia Cultural Council. She is a member of The Council on Foreign Relations. She also is a Director of the First National Bank of Long Island.

Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Missie now lives in New York City with her husband, Zach. They have two daughters, Rennie and Bree.
