Susan Zadek Mandel ’78

Susan Zadek Mandel ’78 was elected to the Vassar Board of Trustees in 2011.

Following her graduation from Vassar, with a major in mathematics, Sue earned a MBA from Harvard University in 1982. She is a director of the ZOOM Foundation, a family foundation that focuses its grantmaking on innovative change efforts that have the highest potential for sustainable, scalable impact, especially in the areas of education and the environment. She is a co-founder of Moms Clean Air Force, a national movement of over one million moms (and dads) who are protecting children’s right to clean air. She is a trustee of Environmental Defense Fund.
