Robyn Field was elected to the Vassar College Board of Trustees in 2017.
Robyn is a director of Field Family Real Estate, a commercial property development and management company based in Los Angeles, California. Robyn received a BA in History, summa cum laude, from Vassar College in 1986, was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and was awarded both the Virginia Brownell Prize for Excellence in History, and a Maguire Fellowship for the study of the humanities in Western Europe. With her fellowship award, she studied at the Architectural Association in London, focusing on history and theory of Architecture. She returned to Los Angeles to complete her MA in Architecture from UCLA, specializing in gendered patronage studies. Robyn went on to teach History and Theory of Architecture, before joining her family’s real estate company.
Robyn served on the Board of Trustees of The Buckley School, a K–12 independent school in Los Angeles, from 2006–2015, the last five years as Chair of the Board. She served on the President’s Advisory Council at Vassar from 2007–2017. Along with her daughters, Robyn is a volunteer with the Assisteens Auxiliary of The Assistance League of Los Angeles, a community non-profit serving foster and homeless school children in Los Angeles County. Additionally, Robyn serves on the board of The Women’s Guild at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and is a director of The Eris & Larry Field Family Foundation. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Anthony O’Carroll ’85, and their daughters, Ibby and Kate.
