Exhibition of the 45,000 Quilt Project

LocationLibrary Lawn & Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center

The 45,000 Quilt Project calls attention to the 45,000 people who, on average in 2019, were imprisoned by ICE. The quilts denounce cruelty to detained people and ask us how we will stop our country criminalizing migration and asylum.

Sponsored by the Consortium on Forced Migration, Displacement, and Education, and the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center.

Curated by Rick Jones, Dept. of Earth Science & Geography, with funding from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and support from the City of Poughkeepsie Public Arts Commission.

There will be a variety of locations and times when the campus and local communities may view this work. Please visit for a schedule and other updated information.
