Vassar Lifelong Learning Institute and Read650 present “Lessons Learned: True Stories of Work, Warmth, and Wonder"

Vassar College’s new Lifelong Learning Institute will launch its event series with a unique spoken-word event entitled “Lessons Learned: True Stories of Work, Warmth and Wonder” on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 3 p.m. at Vassar’s Sanders Auditorium.

Read650, a live reading series, features true stories told in five minutes, and 650 words at a time. The theme of the Vassar Lifelong Learning Institute’s inaugural event highlights life lessons with a series of entertaining and provocative personal essays. Read650’s submission-based productions are curated by an advisory committee of novelists, memoirists, journalists, editors, and playwrights.

Presented in cooperation with the Bard Lifelong Learning Institute and Marist Center for Lifetime Study. The event and catered reception is made possible by a grant from the Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union. Suggested minimum donations of $10. Seating is limited, and registration is strongly advised.
