2021-2022 Senior Thesis Schedule Deadlines

Monday, August 30 and Thursday, September 2
Discussion of senior theses in IS Senior Seminar (INTL 305) meetings.

Tuesday, September 14
Students complete and submit Senior Thesis Topic Proposal Form (see below) due in Program Office by 4pm.

Tuesday, September 28
Students submit thesis proposal, draft outline and bibliography.

Tuesday, September 28 – Friday, October 8
Program faculty reviews thesis proposals. Thesis proposals with comments from the Program Director will be returned to students shortly thereafter.

Wednesday, October 6
Students should do their best to have commitments from two thesis advisers

Friday, November 19
Students submit detailed outline, brief chapter summaries, and revised bibliography to each adviser and the Program Director.

Thursday, December 9
Work-in-progress presentations, 10:00 – 3:00 pm.

SPRING 2022

Wednesday, January 19 – Friday, January 28
Students check in with thesis advisers to report on progress over the inter-semester break. If joint meetings are impossible, students may meet with advisers separately. Both advisors must be consulted. Advisers are encouraged to send progress report to the Program Director.

Friday, February 18
Students submit a copy of thesis draft to each adviser and the Program Director.

Wednesday, March 1
Thesis advisers do their best to share comments on thesis drafts with their thesis advisees and the IS Director by this date.

SPRING BREAK
(Saturday, March 5 - Sunday, March 20)

Monday, March 21 - Friday, March 26
Students reach out to advisers to go over thesis draft comments. Problems and/or concerns reported to Program Director by advisers.

Monday, April 25
Students submit completed thesis to advisers and the Program Office.

Monday, May 9
Advisers do their best to return theses with comments and grade to Program Director.
