I'm thrilled to integrate the skills that I've learned from my experience as a history major at Vassar in my work as a management consulting associate next year at PricewaterhouseCoopers. In my final-round interview I had a forty-five minute period to prepare a presentation on a mock client profile, which I then delivered to an interviewer (who was also a liberal arts graduate with a history minor, and was very interested in my thesis topic!). The feedback I received was that she could tell I had solid presentation experience, and she liked that I weighed the "client's" options by looking at many different angles and that my proposed next steps for PwC to take addressed both the facts given as well as the gaps in the profile. I'm excited to continue using my research, writing, and presentation skills from my history major in the next phase of my life, and look forward to translating the analytical and creative elements of history into my work in management consulting!
