The Hudson River School Collection at The Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center: A 3D Virtual Exhibition
When: January 1, 1969 - January 1, 2099
About the Show
The Loeb’s collection of Hudson River School landscapes dates back to the museum’s founding in 1864, when Matthew Vassar acquired a selection of works to establish the college’s permanent art collection. The installation in the galleries, today composed of works acquired in 1864 as well as more recent gifts and purchases, is now one of the most well known groups of paintings at the Loeb, beloved by Hudson Valley residents and regional tourists alike. The Art Center is excited to present this venerable collection in a new way: Enjoy our Hudson River School Galleries virtually from your computer, mobile device, or VR headset.
