Harry Roseman Professor of Art on the Isabelle Hyman Chair

Harry Roseman started teaching at Vassar in 1981. After receiving a BFA from Pratt Institute he worked as an assistant for artists Joseph Cornell for three years and Tony Smith for one year. In addition to his work in drawing, photography, and smaller scale sculpture, he has been commissioned to do three public works—one of which is in the New York Subway at Wall Street and another is situated at John F. Kennedy International Airport in the International Air Terminal (Terminal 4) in NYC. Harry Roseman teaches sculpture, drawing and team-teaches a computer animation class with colleague and computer scientist Tom Ellman.
