  • We cordially invite you and your guests to an Admitted Students Open House to meet potential new classmates and learn more about student life, academic programs, financial aid, and the first-year experience.

    Dates: Thursday, April 11 or Sunday, April 14, 2019

    Register for an Open House.

    Get directions: Directions and information about local overnight accommodations.

    Sign-In: On the day of the Open House, sign-in begins at 8:30am at the Aula in Ely Hall. Late sign-in continues from 10:00-10:30am on the Chapel steps.

    Program: Campus tours; information sessions; panels with Vassar administrators and current students; and luncheon reception (tentative schedule below).

    Please note: If you wish to attend the Financial Aid information session at 9:45am, we suggest you arrive by 8:30am if you wish to go on a tour. If you do not wish to attend the information session, you may arrive at any time up until 9:30am, when the last campus tour will leave. If you do not wish to join us that early, late sign-in will be available from 10:00am to 10:30am on the Chapel steps. Additional specialty tours of our arts facilities, science facilities, or residential halls will be available later in the afternoon, departing from Main Circle at 3:30pm.

  • Tentative schedule

    • 8:30-9:30am: Sign-In and Campus Tours - The Aula, Ely Hall
      Sign-in and take a campus tour led by a current student. Please note that tours leaving after 8:40am will not return in time for you to attend the optional Financial Aid information session.
    • 9:45-10:30am: Financial Aid Information Session (optional)
      Learn more about financial aid in this group information session.
    • 10:00-10:30am: Late Sign-In - the Chapel steps
    • 10:45-12:00pm: Opening Session 
      Join us for an introduction to the Vassar experience and a panel discussion with faculty, students, and administrators.
    • 12:05-1:00pm: Lunch
      Students will experience lunch in our dining center, while families and guests will have a catered lunch in the College Center.
    • 1:15-2:25pm: Life After Vassar
      What do students do after graduation? (Recommended for parents.)
      - OR -
      Life at Vassar
       Learn the ins and outs of the campus scene from current Vassar students. (Recommended for students.)
    • 2:30-3:30pm: Academic Department Fair
      Meet with representatives from each academic department as well as a sampling of student services offices and learn more about their programs.
    • 3:30pm: Specialty tours
      Take a tour of residence halls, arts facilities, or science facilities.

    Please also feel free to visit the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center (located next to Main Gate) and the Vassar College Store (at the corner of Raymond Ave. and Collegeview Ave). Both will be open.
