Join Vassar alums around the country for a conversation with Karin Tanabe ’02 about her book The Gilded Years, the story of Anita Hemmings, the first African American student at Vassar. Moderated by Paula Williams Madison ’74, we will discuss the legacy as well as the social and racial reckoning of Anita’s story, both in her time and in ours.

Gather for the watch party in Rocky 300 and tune in to this Vassar Club virtual event. Snacks will be provided. Advance registration is strongly encouraged to ensure we have enough food.
