Automobile

For specific directions from your point of origin, consult AutoPilot. From the Taconic Parkway: Exit at Route 55 westbound. Proceed six miles west to a left turn onto Van Wagner Road (which becomes Raymond Avenue), and proceed less than 1 mile to Vassar. A Gothic stone archway, the main entrance, is on the left. From the New York State Thruway: Use Exit 17 (Newburgh), and take I-84 eastbound across the Newburgh Beacon Bridge to Exit 13 for Route 9 north. Follow directions below. From Route 9 northbound: Drive 9.5 miles north from the intersection of I-84 and Route 9 to exit for Spackenkill Road (Route 113). IBM's extensive facility is on the left. Proceed about 0.5 mile on Spackenkill Road. Turn left at the second traffic light onto Wilbur Boulevard. Turn right when Wilbur ends at Hooker Avenue. Turn left at the first traffic light onto Raymond Avenue. Enter the college through the stone archway on the right. From Route 9 southbound: Exit at Spackenkill Road (Route 113) and follow directions above. Train Metro-North Commuter Railroad serves the Hudson Valley, connecting New York City's Grand Central Terminal with Poughkeepsie. For timetables, call 800-METRO-INFO. Air

Scheduled passenger service is available from Stewart International Airport in Newburgh, New York, about 35 minutes from Poughkeepsie. Check with your travel agent or the airlines about flights and ground transportation.

 

Bus

Daily service is available from Long Island, northern New Jersey, and the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City via ShortLine Bus (800-631-8405); connecting service to upstate New York, Boston, and Washington, D.C., is available via Adirondack and Pine Hill Trailways (800-858-8555).
