John Ratey, MD, an internationally recognized expert in neuropsychiatry, will discuss the brain-fitness connection (11/15)

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - On November 15th at 5:30pm in Rockefeller Hall, Room 300, John Ratey, MD, associate professor of clinical psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and bestselling co-author of the groundbreaking Driven to Distraction series on ADHD, will discuss the brain-fitness connection and the importance of exercise and physical movement in his lecture "Exercise and Play: The Perfect Elixir to Keep the Brain Ready to Learn." Dr. Ratey will share research to support our large thinking brains evolved to keep them ready to learn and remember; that moving our bodies have a direct effect on building and preserving our brains; and that brain chemistry changes can help us compensate for learning challenges.
