"Valentine's Konzert" to celebrate German love songs. Thursday, February 14, 2008

This year, you can celebrate Valentine’s Day the German way – at a “Valentine’s Konzert” called “Only Those Who Know Longing…”

The concert will take place on Thursday, February 14, at 8:00pm in Thekla Hall, Skinner Hall of Music (Room 400). It is free and open to the public. The program will include German love songs from Johannes Brahms’ Lieder and Robert Schumann’s Dichterliebe. They will be performed by Rolf Sostmann, Tenor from the Oslo Opera in Norway, and Scott Carlton on piano.

The German Studies Department, the Music Department, and the Department of the Dean of Faculty are sponsoring this event.
