Information on today's state and location elections, including how to register, where to vote, and the list of candidates, can be found at the Dutchess County Board of Elections website (http://www.dutchesselections.com/). Polling places are open from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Remember to bring a form of identification to your polling place.
Candidates in today's elections are running for such offices as NY State Supreme Court Justice, Dutchess County Clerk, Dutchess County Sheriff, Dutchess County District Attorney, Dutchess County Executive, Dutchess County Legislator, Town of Poughkeepsie Supervisor, Town of Poughkeepsie Clerk, Town of Poughkeepsie Justice, and Town of Poughkeepsie Councilor.
If you're registered as a resident of Vassar College (which is in the Town of Poughkeepsie), you will vote at either the Arthur May Elementary School or Poughkeepsie Town Hall. Directions to these polling places are provided below.
From 1:00-9:00pm Vassar will be running a shuttle van to the May School and Poughkeepsie Town Hall. The van will leave from the Main Building circle every half hour, stopping long enough at each polling place for you to vote and then return to campus.
Remember that where you vote depends upon your residence at the time you register, which may not be where you live now. The campus is divided into three separate voting districts as follows:
