Ninth Annual Arlington Street Fair to celebrate local community September 29, 2007

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — From 12:00-6:00 pm on Saturday, September 29, 2007, Raymond Avenue will come alive with the sights, sounds, and tastes of the ninth annual Arlington Street Fair. The fair will feature live entertainment, children's rides and activities, dozens of vendors, and the sixth annual Arlington Chili Cook-Off. Sponsored by the Arlington Business Improvement District, Clear Channel Radio, the Poughkeepsie Journal, the Vassar Student Association, and Vassar College, the festival celebrates the ongoing revitalization of the Town of Poughkeepsie's Arlington neighborhood and raises money for local charities. It also serves as a welcome back for Vassar students and parents.

Where: Raymond Avenue/Route 376, Town of Poughkeepsie between Collegeview and the Eastbound Arterial

Cost: Free

Parking: Free parking available at the Davis Avenue lot, in the lot behind Prime Financial on Raymond Avenue, and on neighboring streets.
