Happy April 1, 2011. Below are photos of a garden that seems to have existed on Vassar campus at one time. No other information about the garden has been located (although it may not actually have been called Nyasaland Garden, and probably was never inhabited by an elephant).
So, no fooling, we could use your help. In the first photo below, the view of Main Building in the distance contains discrepancies that we have not yet solved. We invite Vassar architectural and historical experts to contact us with insight regarding whether this is the back or front of Main, and also why the end towers seem not to be the correct shape.
